Gratitude....

Your love for Me also results in your gratitude for everything I give to you, even if you don't put your feelings of gratitude into words it nevertheless is in your heart, into which I can look at any time. The mouth often voices what the heart is not aware of, and such words mean nothing to Me. But the heart can feel without expressing itself with words, and I only take such feeling into account. A person's heart, having received kindness, will also respond with love and be thankful to the giver. But to accept a gift without gratitude betrays innermost heartlessness, it betrays arrogance towards a fellow human being which makes him feel entitled to have received something. The same also applies to Me, so that the humble person always accepts My gifts of grace with a grateful heart, be they spiritual or earthly offerings I give to Him in My love. Humble childlike love is always evidence of gratitude.... Thus words are not necessary for Me, yet you should not fail to express your thankfulness towards your fellow human being so as not to hurt the giver and repay his love with unkindness. Although someone who only gives for the sake of gratitude certainly lacks the right love for his neighbour every well-intentioned gift should nevertheless be gratefully acknowledged so that the giver shall also learn to know the pleasure of giving, so that the giver's love will be kindled by the pleasure of the recipient, for a warmly felt gratitude can inspire further giving, which will always be a blessing for the giver and the recipient. Gratitude is inseparable from love, because a grateful word without love cannot be called true gratitude. But the life, thoughts and actions of a loving person constitute never-ending gratefulness towards the One Who created him, for his will also belongs to Him, He owns the love of his heart which, bowed down in most profound humbleness, receives every gift from Him with emotion. This gratitude is pleasing to Me, since I also possess the love of My living creations which will then always receive beyond measure, so that they become blissfully happy....

Agradecimiento

El amor a Mí os hace a vosotros hombres también agradecidos por todo lo que Yo os doy, aunque el sentimiento de agradecimiento no sea expresado con palabras, pero se halla en el corazón, en el que Yo puedo mirar en todo momento. La boca dice con frecuencia, de lo que el corazón nada sabe, y semejantes palabras no valen nada para Mí. Pero el corazón puede sentir, sin que se exprese con palabras, y tal sentimiento avaloro Yo únicamente. Quien recibe un favor o beneficio, sentirá en su corazón también amor recíproco y estará agradecido ante el donador. Mas aceptar una dádíva sin agradecimiento delata la falta de amor en el fondo del corazón, delata una altanería frente a sus semejantes, la que le hace sentir como autorizado de recibirla. Lo mismo vale también frente a Mí; el hombre humilde siempre toma Mis favores de Gracia con un corazón lleno de agradecimiento, ya sean espirituales o terrenales donativos, los que Yo le dirijo en Mi Amor. El humilde amor filial es siempre la prueba de gratitud.

Por eso ante Mí no son necesarias las palabras, pero ante los hombres debéis contestar en agradecimiento, para que no ofendáis al donador y le devolváis mal su amor. Quien sólo da a causa de las gracias, a ese le falta en verdad, el verdadero amor al prójimo, no obstante, debe ser reconocido en agradecimiento todo favor que es de buena intención, para que el dador conozca también la alegría del dar, para que el amor del donador, se encienda en la alegría del que recibe, pues un cálido agradecimiento sentido puede estimular a que se continúe a dar, lo que siempre será una bendición para el dador y el destinatario. El agradecimiento es inseparable del amor, porque una palabra de gracias es, sin amor, ningún agradecimiento justo. Mas quien tiene el amor en sí, la vida, el pensar y obrar de ese es un único agradecimiento hacia aquel que lo ha creado, porque a El le pertenece también su voluntad, a El le pertenece el amor de su corazón, el que en profunda humildad se inclina ante El y recibe cada obsequio de El con enternecimiento. Estas son las gracias que Me son a Mí gratas, si poseo también el amor de Mis criaturas, que entonces siempre recibirán ilimitadamente, para que sean bienaventurados.
