The power of the word.... ineffectiveness....

The power of the word cannot become effective as long as the human being rejects it. Therefore the word will also not be recognized for what it is: as emanation of the eternal deity, as long as the human being does not want it to bear witness to it. The inner defence is a visible influence of the adversary of God, for a good person feels beneficently touched because the adversary of God has no power over these people. The divine word is the direct emanation of God.... God's strength of love can certainly penetrate everywhere but it immediately becomes ineffective as soon as it encounters resistance, otherwise the word would exert a certain spiritual coercion on people who are still God-opposing. The opposition to God does not only consist of open rejection of God and obvious counteraction, but the person can appear outwardly as God-affirming and yet inwardly be full of opposition to everything that has to do with faith. And on such a person God’s word remains completely without impression. His heart remains closed because his intellect wants to deny what requires an affirmative attitude in order to be able to work as grace. Offering these people the pure word of God from heaven does not promise much success, and these are the people of whom it can be said that they are neither warm nor cold.... who do not have the courage to openly reject, who are considered believers and yet inwardly deny everything and often still influence their fellow human beings with their attitude. For these, therefore, the divine word is no source of strength, for they only hear it according to the letter and it has no spiritual meaning for them. These are the ones who also doubt the book of the fathers, even if they openly profess it. And therefore they will also read it without understanding, and it will confuse rather than enlighten their spirit. For the power is not able to penetrate to the heart. It is only a dead word, for life is missing because man himself is dead in spirit. And spirit must speak to spirit. God’s word is the current of strength which again touches the divine spark, but only if the human being is willing to do so. All resistance interrupts the current because God gives nothing that does not want to be accepted. And so it is understandable that the word of God is all the more effective the more intimately it is desired. The desire for the divine word also secures an inconceivable blessing for the recipient, and the power of God flows through him who opens himself to the flow of power through his desire for it. He feels what his fellow human being cannot comprehend, he will understand what is completely inexplicable to him, for he connects himself with God through his desire, a connection which the latter can never enter into because he is far from God and does not make use of His strength in order to be able to approach Him. For without the supply of strength from God the human being is a weak being, and he will achieve nothing on earth as long as he withdraws himself from this supply of strength through his will, as long as his will is still under the influence of the one who is God's adversary, who did not want to acknowledge God as the source of strength and therefore fell....

O poder da palavra.... Ineficácia....

O poder da Palavra não pode tornar-se eficaz enquanto o ser humano o rejeitar. Por conseguinte, a Palavra também não será reconhecida pelo que é: como emanação da Deidade eterna, desde que o ser humano não queira que ela seja testemunha dela. A defesa interior é uma influência visível do adversário de Deus, pois uma pessoa boa sente-se beneficiada porque o adversário de Deus não tem poder sobre estas pessoas. A Palavra divina é a emanação directa de Deus.... A força do amor de Deus pode certamente penetrar em todo o lado, mas torna-se imediatamente ineficaz assim que encontra resistência, caso contrário a Palavra exerceria uma certa coerção espiritual sobre as pessoas que ainda se opõem a Deus. A oposição a Deus não consiste apenas na rejeição aberta de Deus e contra-acção óbvia, mas a pessoa pode aparecer exteriormente como uma afirmação de Deus e, no entanto, interiormente estar cheia de oposição a tudo o que tem a ver com fé. E numa tal pessoa, a Palavra de Deus permanece completamente sem impressão. O seu coração permanece fechado porque o seu intelecto quer negar o que requer uma atitude afirmativa para poder trabalhar como graça. Oferecer a estas pessoas a pura Palavra de Deus do céu não promete muito sucesso, e estas são as pessoas das quais se pode dizer que não são nem quentes nem frias.... que não têm a coragem de rejeitar abertamente, que são consideradas crentes e no entanto negam interiormente tudo e muitas vezes ainda influenciam os seus semelhantes com a sua atitude. Para estes, portanto, a Palavra divina não é fonte de força, pois eles só a ouvem de acordo com a letra e ela não tem significado espiritual para eles. Estes são os que também duvidam do Livro dos Padres, mesmo que o professem abertamente. E, portanto, também o lerão sem compreender, e isso confundirá em vez de iluminar o seu espírito. Pois o poder não é capaz de penetrar até ao coração. É apenas uma palavra morta, pois falta a vida porque o próprio homem está morto em espírito. E o espírito deve falar com o espírito. A Palavra de Deus é a corrente de força que toca novamente a centelha divina, mas apenas se o ser humano estiver disposto a fazê-lo. Toda a resistência interrompe a corrente porque Deus não dá nada que não queira ser aceite. E por isso é compreensível que a Palavra de Deus seja tanto mais eficaz quanto mais íntima for a sua vontade. O desejo da Palavra divina também assegura uma bênção inconcebível para o destinatário, e o poder de Deus flui através daquele que se abre ao fluxo do poder através do seu desejo por ele. Ele sente o que o seu semelhante não pode compreender, ele compreenderá o que lhe é completamente inexplicável, pois liga-se a Deus através do seu desejo, uma ligação em que este último nunca poderá entrar porque está longe de Deus e não faz uso das Suas forças para poder aproximar-se d'Ele. Pois sem o fornecimento de força de Deus o ser humano é um ser fraco, e nada conseguirá na terra enquanto se retirar desta fonte de força através da sua vontade, enquanto a sua vontade ainda estiver sob a influência daquele que é o adversário de Deus, que não quis reconhecer Deus como fonte de força e por isso caiu...._>Ámen
