Self-love in the afterlife prolongs the state of suffering.... willingness to help....

In the spiritual kingdom the activity of love has the same effect as on earth.... in an increased supply of strength, thus also in spiritual progress, for all activity of love paves the path to God, and closeness to God is the ultimate goal of all beings. Hence love is likewise preached in the spiritual kingdom, that is, the beings of light draw the unredeemed souls' attention to the fact that only love will bring them liberation, and they also provide them with every opportunity to develop themselves in love. No soul can develop itself upwards other than on the path of love, yet this is far more difficult in the spiritual kingdom than on earth as long as the soul is still ignorant, thus not yet enlightened. For then it only touches its own fate, it does not see the hardship of other souls because it is still very much in self-love, which is to blame for its ignorant state. And this self-love prevents it from selfless loving activity, for then the soul regards itself as the center, it feels unhappy, and unjustly so, for its self-love conceals its own faults, whereas it recognizes all faults of other souls and feels elevated above them. And so it cannot feel any love for its suffering environment. It is hard and unfeeling and takes no interest in the other souls, and as long as it does so it will also feel its hardship bitterly, which will only diminish if love is kindled in it and stimulates it into loving activity. And it often takes an infinitely long time until the soul softens and is willing to help of its own accord. And yet it cannot be stimulated into loving activity other than through instruction from the beings of light, for it has to decide of its own free will to be helpful, it has to put aside its selfish love, disregard its own hardship and try to alleviate the suffering of fellow-suffering souls, then its hitherto powerless state will change, the soul will feel the influx of strength and become increasingly more capable of helping and working with love. Its state will now become increasingly freer and it will realize that it is becoming increasingly lighter around it, it will be able to see things which make it happy, its knowledge will increase and its will to reach God will become ever stronger.... And thus her activity of love also becomes eager, for she recognizes the power and strength of love, she recognizes her goal and strives towards it.... she seeks to come close to God and to redeem herself through love....

O amor-próprio na vida após a morte prolonga o sofrimento.... Ajuda....

No reino espiritual a atividade do amor tem o mesmo efeito que na terra.... em maior fornecimento de forças, portanto também progresso espiritual, pois toda atividade de amor abre o caminho para Deus, e a proximidade a Deus é o objetivo final de toda beingness. Portanto, o amor também é pregado no reino espiritual, ou seja, os seres de luz chamam a atenção das almas não redimidas para o fato de que só o amor lhes traz libertação, e também lhes proporciona todas as oportunidades para se desenvolverem no amor. Nenhuma alma pode desenvolver-se para cima, a não ser no caminho do amor, mas isso é muito mais difícil no reino espiritual do que na Terra, enquanto a alma ainda é ignorante, portanto ainda não está em realização. Pois então só toca o seu próprio destino, não vê as dificuldades de outras almas, porque ainda está muito enamorado de si mesmo, que é o culpado pelo seu estado ignorante. E esse amor-próprio o impede de uma atividade de amor altruísta, pois a alma se considera então como o centro, sente-se infeliz, e injustamente, pois seu amor-próprio disfarça suas próprias faltas, enquanto reconhece todas as faltas das outras almas e se sente exaltada acima delas. E assim ela não pode sentir amor pelo seu ambiente de sofrimento. É duro e insensível e não se interessa pelas outras almas, e por tanto tempo também sentirá amargamente as suas dificuldades, que só diminuem quando o amor se acende nele e o estimula a amar a actividade. E muitas vezes leva um tempo infinitamente longo até que a alma amoleça e esteja disposta a ajudar por sua própria vontade. E, no entanto, não pode ser estimulada para a atividade amorosa de outra forma que não seja através da instrução dos seres de luz, pois deve decidir, em total livre arbítrio, estar disposta a ajudar, deve pôr de lado o seu amor egoísta, ignorar as suas próprias dificuldades e tentar aliviar as dificuldades das almas que sofrem, então o seu estado até agora impotente experimentará uma mudança, a alma sentirá o influxo de força e tornar-se-á cada vez mais capaz de ajudar e trabalhar no amor. O seu estado tornar-se-á agora cada vez mais livre e reconhecerá agora que está a tornar-se cada vez mais leve à sua volta, poderá ver coisas que o tornam feliz, o seu conhecimento aumentará e a sua vontade de alcançar Deus tornar-se-á cada vez mais forte.... E assim sua atividade de amor também se torna ávida, pois ela reconhece o poder e a força do amor, ela reconhece seu objetivo e se esforça para alcançá-lo.... procura aproximar-se de Deus e redimir-se através do amor...._>Amém
