Matter.... change - upward development.... serve....

The perpetual process of change can be observed in all creations and therefore has to take place according to divine will, because no other being can implement its will in the works of creation. It is God's will that the spiritual, which is bound in the works of creation, changes, and this change can only take place when also the outer form undergoes a change, and this outer change is therefore the actual life of the spiritual, it is so to speak the visible sign of an upward development of the spiritual hiding in it, because as long as this remains in its resistance against God, also the outer form remains almost unchanged. From this it can be concluded that all solid matter which remains in its nature and condition for a long time harbours spiritual substances which are opposed to God and that this matter should not be striven for by man if it is not needed for a serving purpose. If matter is used to mould things that are useful to man, then man himself contributes to the transformation of such external forms.... but if an external form remains and is desired by people for the sake of this external form, then the human being is in danger of being dominated by matter and this is a disadvantage for his soul. There are countless things which could be counted as so-called dead matter and which are desired by people without them fulfilling a useful purpose.... These are decorative objects of all kinds that merely trigger the joy of earthly possession without fulfilling a purpose. They are only a lure of the world as long as they serve to fulfil one's own desires and do not fulfil their purpose in serving neighbourly love The spiritual bound in this matter captivates the senses of man, and this means a spiritual regression for the latter, since he demands something that he has long since overcome, and the spiritual in matter finds support through the desire of man, in that he strives for the possession of what he desires, and he gives the spiritual in the form the opportunity to remain in the form for a long time. But what does not change in its outer form does not progress in its upward development....

(27.6.1943) To desire such solid matter as possession is of extreme disadvantage for the soul of man because it makes him a slave of matter, it conquers him instead of man conquering matter. Objects which are created by human hands but which have no serving purpose are likewise suited to arouse human desire and now remain in their form for a long time, and the spiritual in them is bound for just as long. It cannot develop upwards because it is prevented from serving, because it lacks the will to do so, but man also does not help this spiritual by carefully protecting the solid matter from every change and thus prolongs the compulsion around the spiritual through his love for dead matter. In the same way, utilitarian objects whose actual purpose is a serving one, but which are not used for their actual purpose out of love for matter, are also an agonizing fetter for the spiritual substance hidden in them as long as the human being persists in his love for such things.... if the external form is not changed by divine will, i.e. if such objects are destroyed against human will through many different causes. Then the spiritual in the form is willing to serve, and the outer fetter is loosened or destroyed despite human love for it. A change of the outer form, therefore of all works of creation, must take place if these works are to fulfil their purpose; the spiritual in every work of creation must mature through service and then be released again to the next stage of its development. Man's love for matter prolongs the state of compulsion of the spiritual in it, the stubborn spiritual, which does not let up in its resistance against God, now also influences the thinking of men to unite with it, it therefore drives to materialism and causes great spiritual devastation among mankind. Nevertheless, this spirituality feels the compulsion that the external form causes it and unlawfully tries to escape it.... it tries to confuse human thinking, i.e., God-opposing forces use the weakness of man for dead matter in order to incite them to unkindness against each other, to unlawfully appropriate the matter of fellow human beings and, if necessary, to achieve this through violence, which can also have a destructive effect on matter. In its ignorance, the spiritual believes itself to be free when its outer form is destroyed by people's lack of love. Violent destruction is therefore never spiritual progress but an illegally interrupted course of development, for the release from a form only depends on whether this form fulfils a serving purpose. And in the same way the destruction of an outer form must have as its cause the will to produce something new from it which again fulfils a serving purpose. Then the change of the outer form is willed by God and for the spiritual in it an ascent to....

Matéria.... Mudança - Upward Evolution.... Servir....

O processo eterno de mudança pode ser observado em todas as criações e, portanto, tem de proceder de acordo com a vontade divina, porque nenhum outro ser pode realizar a sua vontade nas obras da criação. É vontade de Deus que a substância espiritual ligada às obras da criação mude, e essa mudança só pode ocorrer se a forma externa também sofrer uma mudança, e essa mudança externa é, portanto, a vida real da substância espiritual, é, por assim dizer, o sinal visível de um desenvolvimento ascendente da substância espiritual que se abriga nela, pois enquanto permanecer na sua resistência a Deus a forma externa também permanece quase inalterada. Daí se conclui que toda matéria sólida que permanece em sua espécie e natureza por muito tempo mantém em si mesma o espiritual que se opõe a Deus e que essa matéria não deve ser procurada pelo homem se não for necessária para um propósito de serviço. Se a matéria é utilizada para formar coisas úteis ao ser humano, então o próprio ser humano contribui para a transformação de tais formas externas.... Mas se uma forma externa permanece e é desejada pelas pessoas por causa dessa forma externa, então o ser humano está em perigo de ser dominado pela matéria e isso é uma desvantagem para a sua alma. Há inúmeras coisas que poderiam ser consideradas como matéria morta e que são desejadas pelas pessoas sem que elas cumpram um propósito de serviço. Estes são objetos ornamentais de todo tipo que apenas provocam alegria na posse terrena sem cumprir um propósito. Eles são meramente uma atração do mundo, desde que sirvam para satisfazer seus próprios desejos e não cumpram seu propósito de servir ao amor ao próximo. O limite espiritual nesta matéria cativa os sentidos do ser humano, e isso significa um retrocesso espiritual para este último, uma vez que ele deseja algo que há muito já superou, e o espiritual na matéria encontra apoio através do desejo do ser humano, lutando pela posse do que ele deseja, e ele dá ao espiritual na forma a oportunidade de permanecer na forma por um longo tempo. Mas o que não muda na sua forma exterior também não progride no desenvolvimento ascendente.... (27.6.1943) Desejar uma matéria tão sólida como uma posse é de extrema desvantagem para a alma do homem, pois ele se faz escravo da matéria, ela o conquista em vez de o homem conquistar a matéria. Objetos que são criados por mãos humanas, mas que não têm propósito de servir, são igualmente adequados para despertar o desejo humano e agora permanecem em sua forma por um longo tempo, e o espiritual está ligado a ele por igual tempo. Não pode desenvolver-se para cima porque é impedido de servir, porque lhe falta a vontade de o fazer, mas o ser humano também não ajuda essa substância espiritual protegendo cuidadosamente a matéria sólida de cada mudança e assim prolonga o constrangimento em torno da substância espiritual através do seu amor pela matéria morta. Do mesmo modo, os objetos de uso cujo verdadeiro propósito é servir, mas que não são usados para seu verdadeiro propósito novamente por amor à matéria, são uma manilha agonizante para a substância espiritual contida nela, enquanto o ser humano persistir em seu amor por tais coisas, a menos que a forma externa seja alterada pela vontade divina, ou seja, se tais objetos forem destruídos por muitas causas diferentes contra a vontade humana. Então o espiritual na forma está disposto a servir, e o grilho exterior é solto ou destruído, apesar do amor humano por ele. Uma mudança da forma externa, portanto de todas as obras da criação, deve ocorrer para que essas obras cumpram seu propósito, o espiritual em cada obra da criação deve amadurecer através do serviço e depois ser liberado novamente para a próxima etapa de seu desenvolvimento. O amor do ser humano pela matéria prolonga o estado compulsivo da substância espiritual dentro dela, a substância espiritual teimosa, que não se esmorece na sua oposição a Deus, agora também influencia o pensamento das pessoas para se unirem a ela, assim conduz ao materialismo e causa grande devastação espiritual entre a humanidade. No entanto, esta substância espiritual sente a compulsão causada pela forma externa e tenta fugir ilicitamente dela.... procura confundir o pensamento humano, ou seja, as forças que se opõem a Deus usam a fraqueza do ser humano para a matéria morta a fim de incitá-lo à indelicadeza uns para com os outros, para se apropriar ilegalmente da matéria do seu semelhante e, se necessário, para conseguir isso através da violência que também pode ter um efeito destrutivo sobre a matéria. O espiritual, na sua ignorância, acredita ser livre quando a sua forma exterior é destruída pela indelicadeza das pessoas. Uma destruição violenta, portanto, nunca é um progresso espiritual, mas um curso de desenvolvimento interrompido ilegalmente, pois a libertação de uma forma depende apenas de esta cumprir um propósito de serviço. E da mesma forma, a destruição de uma forma exterior deve ter como causa a vontade de produzir algo novo a partir dela, que mais uma vez cumpre um propósito de serviço. Então a mudança da forma exterior é querida por Deus e para o espiritual nela uma ascensão às alturas._>Amém
