Light-filled or lightless and powerless state in the afterlife....

The human being's departure from earth is such a significant process because all physical forces fall away from him in order to be replaced by spiritual forces, or.... where this is not possible due to the soul's lack of maturity it means a powerless state for the soul. Both the influx of spiritual strength and the loss of it are perceptible to the soul, for it feels, just as in earthly life, the lack and the abundance of what is now flowing towards it as agony or as happiness. It feels transported into a state that is free of any physical heaviness, but its sensations determine the degree of well-being. After a short rest the soul will either be active or it will remain in an agonizing inactivity and will not be able to free itself from it. The unredeemed soul lacks strength and the realization of this is unspeakably oppressive. It is bound, it is in a situation in which it does not feel well and cannot free itself from it. It has a desire for earthly things and this desire remains unfulfilled. It is in a joyless gloomy place and wants to escape from it, but it holds it back as if with chains in the place where it is staying. Its whole state is discomfort, because it is not deprived of its sensory faculty, because it can only see with spiritual eyes, but these are still very weak, so that it is unable to see anything and is therefore in a completely lightless region. And the powerless state is extremely agonizing for it because it still knows about the state on earth and therefore knows that it has gone backwards. And now it depends on how the realization of its situation affects its will, which it likewise still possesses unchanged. Its situation is so bleak that it is forced to reflect on it; it can now either apathetically accept everything although it does not like the state.... The powerlessness can be so great that its will is likewise inactive, that it does nothing to change the situation, i.e. that it does not muster the will to change it. Then it will always remain in the same situation until the soul can no longer endure the agony and longs for other surroundings. But it can also remember in bitterness and hatred the one Who imposed this state on the soul. It can quarrel with its fate and allow all its bad instincts to break through in thought and will. Then it itself aggravates its condition and it becomes ever more lightless and ever more bound. For now it is beset by the forces of the underworld, which seek to win it over completely. On the other hand, however, beings from the kingdom of light also approach it, albeit in disguise, and try to persuade it to become active itself in order to transform its dark state into one full of light. And again the will is decisive as to which urge the soul gives in to. A longing thought upwards already brings it relief and can be the beginning of the path upwards. The will alone is decisive, and it will either bring deepened agony or redemption of the soul and at the same time cause the supply of strength.... The powerless being only needs to want that power flows to it, then this will also be imparted to it.... However, as long as the will is inactive and does not strive for such, no change in its situation in a favourable sense will occur. The supply of strength alone determines the soul's state of happiness in the beyond. A soul that receives strength immediately upon entering the spiritual kingdom is a blissful creature. It can now do nothing but be active, for the supply of strength increases its urge to be active. It feels so happy that it does not want to and cannot carry the happiness alone, that it is in need of communication and wants to give of its strength to the unhappy souls, because its feeling is full of deepest compassion for the still immature souls who have to live in want. And it stands in the midst of the light, and this also allows it to recognize.... both the delights of bliss and the suffering of unredeemed beings. It now wants to carry light over into the realm of darkness, it wants to help the souls in need and now starts its activity by seeking access to the unhappy souls and tries to mentally influence them to free themselves from their lethargy and to strive, i.e., like it, to help those who are still deeper in spiritual night.... If it succeeds in this, then it has kindled love in the immature souls, and then their work on themselves begins. The desire to help is the only way to improve their situation, and once the will has become active in this direction there is only one ascent for the soul, for it will receive strength to the same extent as it needs it to help other unhappy souls. Love is the only redeeming power. Without love there is no way out of the powerless state; but once love breaks through, the agonizing, lightless state will soon be overcome, the surroundings will become increasingly brighter and clearer for the soul, the desire for light will become stronger, and accordingly the strength will flow to it, which triggers the state of bliss in the soul and is again the impetus for the highest activity.... to redeeming activity in the beyond....

Uno stato colmo di Luce o senza Luce e Forza nell’aldilà

Il decedere dalla Terra dell’uomo è un processo che è così importante, dato che cadono da lui tutte le forze corporee per essere sostituite attraverso Forze spirituali, oppure, dove questo non è possibile per mancanza di maturità dell’anima, significa per l’anima uno stato senza forza. Sia l’afflusso della Forza spirituale come anche la perdita della stessa è percettibile dall’anima e sente, proprio come nella vita terrena, la mancanza o la pienezza di ciò che ora le affluisce, come tormento e come felicità. Si sente trasportata in uno stato, che è bensì libero da ogni pesantezza corporea, ma le sue sensazioni determinano il grado del suo benessere. Dopo un breve intervallo di riposo, l’anima sarà ora o vivacemente attiva, oppure sosterà in una tormentosa inattività e dalla stessa non si potrà liberare da sé stessa.

All’anima non liberata manca la Forza e riconoscere questo stato la rende immensamente opprimente. L’anima è come legata, è in una condizione nella quale non si sente bene e non se ne può liberare. Ha il desiderio per cose terrene e questo rimane inesaudito. Si trova in una triste zona oscura e ne vorrebbe fuggire, ma è tenuta come con catene al luogo del suo soggiorno. Tutta la sua condizione è disagio, perché non le è tolta la capacità di percepire, perché può vedere solo con gli occhi spirituali, quindi si trova in una zona totalmente buia. E lo stato senza Forza è per lei estremamente tormentoso, dato che si ricorda ancora lo stato sulla Terra e si rende conto di essere regredita. Ed ora dipende quale effetto ha la conoscenza della sua situazione sulla sua volontà, che possiede pure ancora immutata. La sua situazione è così sconsolata, che è costretta a rifletterci; ora la può far passare su di sé in modo del tutto apatico, anche se non le aggrada lo stato. L’assenza di Forza può essere così grande, che pure la sua volontà è inattiva, che non inizia nulla per cambiare la situazione, cioè che non ha nemmeno la volontà per il cambiamento di questo stato. Allora sosterà sempre nella stessa situazione, finché l’anima non può più sopportare il tormento e desidera un altro ambiente. Ma può anche pensare in disperazione ed odio a Colui il Quale ha imposto all’anima questo stato. Può contendere con il suo destino e far irrompere tutti i cattivi istinti in pensieri e nel volere. Allora lei stessa aggrava la sua condizione e questa diventa sempre più oscura e sempre più legata. Perché ora viene oppressa da tutte le forze del mondo inferiore, che cerca di conquistarla del tutto per sé.

Ma d’altra parte le vengono anche incontro degli esseri dal Regno di Luce, ma coperti, e cercano di muoverla ad essere lei stessa attiva, per cambiare il suo stato oscuro in uno colmo di Luce. E nuovamente è determinante la volontà, a quale spinta cede l’anima. Un desideroso pensiero verso l’Alto le procura già un sollievo e può essere l’inizio della via verso l’Alto. È decisiva solo la volontà e porterà all’anima o tormenti più profondi oppure la liberazione ed indurrà contemporaneamente all’apporto di Forza. L’essere inerme deve soltanto volere che gli affluisca la Forza, allora gli viene anche trasmessa. Ma finché la volontà è inattiva e non desidera questa Forza, non subentra nessun cambiamento della sua situazione in senso favorevole.

E’ determinante unicamente l’apporto di Forza per lo stato di felicità dell’anima nell’aldilà. Un’anima alla quale viene trasmessa la Forza subito al suo ingresso nel Regno spirituale, è una creatura beata. Ora non può essere altro che attiva, perché l’apporto di Forza aumenta la sua spinta per l’attività. Si sente così felice, che non vuole e non può portare da sola la felicità, che è bisognosa di comunicare e vorrebbe dare della sua Forza alle anime infelici, perché la sua percezione è profondissima compassione per le anime ancora immature che devono languire. E si trova nel mezzo della Luce e le fa anche riconoscere sia le delizie della Beatitudine come anche le sofferenze degli esseri non liberati. Ora vorrebbe portare la Luce nel regno dell’oscurità, vorrebbe aiutare le anime che sono in miseria ed ora comincia la sua attività, mentre cerca l’accesso alle anime infelici e di influenzarle mentalmente a venir via con la forza alla loro letargia e di tendere, cioè di aiutare come lei, coloro che stanno ancora più profondamente nella notte spirituale. Se questo le riesce, allora ha attizzato l’amore nelle anime immature, ed allora cominciano il loro lavoro su di sé.

Il desiderio di aiutare è l’unica possibilità per migliorare la loro situazione e se la volontà è diventata una volta attiva in questa direzione, allora per l’anima esiste solo una risalita, perché le giunge la Forza nella stessa misura, come ne ha bisogno per aiutare altre anime infelici. L’amore è l’unico potere salvifico. Senza amore non esiste nessuna via d’uscita dallo stato inerme; ma dove l’amore ha fatto una volta breccia, là è anche presto superato lo stato tormentoso, buio, l’ambiente che diventa sempre più luminoso e chiaro è visibile per l’anima, il desiderio per la Luce diventa più forte e rispettivamente le affluisce anche la Forza che fa scaturire nell’anima lo stato di Beatitudine ed è di nuovo la spinta per maggior attività, l’attività salvifica nell’aldilà.
