Distance from God.... cooling of love.... resistance to the doctrine of love....

The further a person distances himself from God, the more difficult it will be to convey the divine teaching of love to him, for the distance from God also results in a cooling of love, and thus he will also reject Christ's teaching, which only preaches love. It requires great love and patience on the part of people to make the purpose and goal of earthly life clear to him, for in most cases his will will determine him not to accept anything that is offered to him. The state far from God is always a state of willfulness towards God's adversary, consequently the human being will never want to accept what speaks in favour of God. Whoever now takes it upon himself to bring light to such people must be prepared for objections and refutations of all kinds, he must not immediately become despondent but must exercise utmost patience and perseverance and try to establish a very close connection with good spiritual forces so that they are mentally guided by them and can withstand every onslaught from the adversary's side. It is an extremely rewarding task to win an apostate for God, yet beings in the beyond, who are in charge of the earthly children, will also endeavour to help him, and they will support the person in his endeavour and give him the right thoughts and words so that he will no longer fight alone but will be supported by spiritual strength. And thus a person who denies love in himself must be led to the right realization through love; he must charitably feel that which he would like to reject and thus no longer be able to remain in his strict rejection....

(2.9.1941) He must take pleasure in what is offered to him because it is offered to him in love, and first receive it with his ear, so that it then also finds entrance into his heart and he now thinks about it. Then already the attempt on him has not remained unsuccessful. This is the beginning of reducing the distance to God, and the slightest willingness will be rewarded by the support of spiritual friends. For these only long for the hour when the human being's mental activity is directed towards supernatural things in order to be able to exert their influence accordingly. But the human being, who is unwilling and rejects everything, finds no connection with them and their work remains unsuccessful, and the human being's life passes by without having brought him any benefit for his soul. The spirit of unkindness has destroyed all faith in him, and only through recognizable activity of love for him can the heart of such a person be made receptive and he likewise be stimulated to activity of love. It is true that God's adversary will also struggle in order not to lose him, and that is why the battle waged by Christ's fighters for souls far from God is not easy. Yet where the will is, there is also the power.... for this is at the disposal of the person who wants to use it for God. And the fighter makes use of the divine word, which is blessed with power. The word of God, commanded in love, must be effective where satanic influence does not obviously hold the human being captive....

La lontananza da Dio - L’amore raffreddato - La resistenza contro la Dottrina d’amore

Più l’uomo si allontana da Dio, più faticoso sarà trasmettergli la divina Dottrina dell’amore, perché l’allontanamento da Dio ha anche per conseguenza il raffreddamento dell’amore, e quindi è anche in opposizione verso la Dottrina di Cristo che predica solo l’amore. Ci vuole un grande amore e pazienza da parte degli uomini, per rendergli chiaro lo scopo e la meta della vita terrena, perché la sua volontà lo determinerà quasi sempre a non accettare nulla sull’argomento. Lo stato di lontananza da Dio significa sempre la volontà nei confronti dell’avversario di Dio, di conseguenza l’uomo non vorrà mai accettare ciò che parla per Dio. Chi ora intende portare la Luce a tali uomini, deve prepararsi ad obiezioni ed opposizioni di ogni genere, non deve subito scoraggiarsi, ma adoperarsi nella più grande pazienza e perseveranza e cercare di stabilire un vero intimo collegamento con le buone Forze spirituali, affinché vengano guidati mentalmente da loro e possano resistere ad ogni assalto da parte dell’avversario. E’ un compito oltremodo gratificante conquistare per Dio un uomo infedele a Lui, ma di questo si sforzano anche gli esseri nell’aldilà, ai quali spetta l’assistenza dei figli terreni e costoro sostengono l’uomo nel suo intento e gli ispirano i giusti pensieri e parole, in modo che ora non lotta più da solo ma gli stà a fianco la Forza spirituale. E così un uomo che rinnega l’amore in sé, dev’essere guidato attraverso l’amore alla giusta conoscenza; e con questa non potrà più arroccarsi rigidamente sul suo rifiuto. (02.09.1941) Deve trovare piacere in ciò che gli viene offerto, perché gli viene offerto nell’amore ed intanto l’accoglie con il suo orecchio, affinché trovi poi anche l’accesso al suo cuore ed ora vi rifletta. Allora il tentativo su di lui non è rimasto senza successo. Questo è l’inizio a diminuire la lontananza da Dio, e la minima volontà verrà ricompensata attraverso il sostegno degli amici spirituali. Perché costoro bramano soltanto l’ora in cui l’attività mentale dell’uomo venga guidata a cose ultraterrene, per poter agire rispettivamente con la loro influenza. Ma l’uomo che non vuole e respinge tutto, non trova nessun collegamento con loro ed il loro agire rimane senza successo e la vita dell’uomo passa senza avergli portato nessuna utilità per la sua anima. Lo spirito del disamore ha distrutto in lui ogni fede, e soltanto attraverso un agire d’amore riconoscibile per lui può essere reso ricettivo il cuore di un tale uomo e stimolarlo pure all’attività d’amore. Certo, anche l’avversario di Dio lotterà per non perderlo, e perciò la lotta che viene condotta per le anime lontane da Dio da parte dei combattenti di Cristo non è facile, . Ma dove si trova la volontà, là c’è anche la Forza, perché questa è a disposizione dell’uomo che la vuole usare per Dio. Ed il combattente si serve della Parola divina che è benedetta con la Forza. La Parola di Dio, offerta nell’amore, dev’essere efficace, dove l’uomo non è tenuto catturato troppo apertamente dall’influenza satanica.
