Right Ways.... roman catholic....

You should not argue about which ways are right before God, if only you have the will to reach God. The divine will provides you with the bread of heaven wherever you desire it. And whoever accepts it as the bread of heaven into his heart will also be nourished, and this spiritual nourishment will lead to eternal salvation. Establishing intimate contact with the divine saviour and redeemer is the sole emblem of Christ's church, and thus everyone will be a disciple of Christ and follower of His teaching who only regocnizes the saviour, loves Him and unites himself with Him eternally. And he can now reach this in various ways, where the light of realization shines for him.... But first he has to establish the connection with God, for this is the only purpose of his earthly life, to unite with the father-spirit of eternity. Thus, those people who earnestly seek God will also reach Him, even if they take different paths, for they always see the divine lord and saviour at the end of their path and strive towards His figure of light.... On the other hand, a certain path is not a guarantee that it will lead to the goal if it is only travelled because of a tradition but the figure of light is not consciously longed for. For this path will drag on endlessly, it will always appear to lead back to the starting point, for the right goal has not yet been regocnized.... Everyone considers the path he is travelling to be the only right one, and it can also be the right path for the individual if it is only travelled in order to finally come closer to the eternal deity. Every path becomes practicable through this desire, and every path leads to the goal. However, it must not be misjudged that great energy is often wasted on the completely unimportant fulfilment of requirements which are in no way conducive to the connection with God and which could therefore be better utilized; i.e., that too little thought is given to the actual purpose of earthly life, namely union with God, whereas completely irrelevant commandments decreed by people are followed with utmost importance and the actual task, union with God, is not always placed before all endeavours, but such a deepening into God's greatest love and grace is often even put out of question. And thus the desire for the lord alone will always be the decisive factor as to whether the earthly child is on the right track, but not the various schools of thought, none of which need exclude this desire for God. Yet if you are given clear instructions from above you would do well to accept them, for they will lead you on the most practicable path towards your eternal home and you will clearly see the saviour's figure of light before you, so that you will courageously and undauntedly take the path which corresponds to divine will and you will not run the risk of going astray, for the lord and saviour Himself will come to meet you and, guided by His hand, you will safely reach your goal....

De juiste weg – Rooms-Katholiek

Jullie moeten er niet om strijden, welke wegen de juiste zijn voor God, als jullie maar de wil hebben om tot God te geraken. De goddelijke wil laat jullie het brood uit de hemel toekomen, steeds waar u ernaar verlangt. En de ziel van degene, die het brood uit de hemel opneemt in zijn hart, zal ook gevoed worden en dit geestelijke voedsel zal hem tot eeuwig heil strekken. Het nauwe contact met de goddelijke Heiland en Verlosser tot stand te brengen is het enige kenteken van de kerk van Christus en dus zal iedereen een volgeling van Christus en een aanhanger van Zijn leer zijn, die de Heiland maar erkent, Hem liefheeft en zich voor eeuwig met Hem verbindt.

En hij kan nu op verschillende manieren daar geraken, waar het licht van het inzicht voor hem schijnt. Alleen moet hij juist als eerste de verbinding met God tot stand brengen, want het is zijn enige doel in het aardse leven zich met de eeuwige Vadergeest te verenigen. Dus deze mensen, die in alle ernst God zoeken, zullen ook tot Hem geraken, ofschoon ze verschillende wegen gaan, want ze zien aan het einde van hun weg steeds de goddelijke Heer en Heiland en ze streven Zijn stralende gestalte tegemoet.

Anderzijds is er geen bepaalde weg, die de zekerheid geeft, dat die tot het doel leidt, als hij alleen maar vanwege een traditie betreden wordt, maar waar niet bewust hevig naar de stralende gestalte verlangd wordt. Doordat dit pad zich eindeloos lang zal uitstrekken, zal het steeds lijken alsof het steeds weer naar het beginpunt terugleidt, omdat het juiste doel nog niet is herkend. Eenieder houdt de weg, die hij gaat voor de alleen juiste en deze kan ook voor individuen de juiste weg zijn, als hij maar juist betreden wordt om uiteindelijk de eeuwige Godheid te naderen. Elke weg wordt door dit verlangen begaanbaar en elke weg leidt tot het doel.

Maar er mag nooit ontkend worden, dat vaak grote kracht verspild wordt aan een totaal onbelangrijk voldoen aan eisen, die op geen enkele manier nuttig zijn voor de verbinding met God en die daarom beter gebruikt zou kunnen worden. Dat aan het eigenlijke doel van het aardse leven, juist de vereniging met God, te weinig gedacht wordt. Daarentegen wordt met het grootste gewicht gevolg gegeven aan volledig onbelangrijke, door mensen uitgevaardigde geboden. Maar naar de eigenlijke opdracht, de vereniging met God, wordt niet gestreefd. Maar ook wordt zo’n verdiepen in de grootste liefde en genade van God in twijfel getrokken.

En zo blijft dus steeds alleen het verlangen naar de Heer doorslaggevend, dus of het mensenkind op het juiste spoor zit, maar niet de verschillende geestelijke richtingen, die allen dit verlangen naar God niet uit hoeven te sluiten. Maar als jullie vanuit boven een helder onderricht gegeven wordt, doen jullie er goed aan deze aan te nemen, want ze leidt jullie op de best begaanbare weg het eeuwige vaderland tegemoet en jullie zien de stralende gestalte van de Heiland duidelijk voor je, zodat jullie deze weg moedig en onbevreesd bewandelen, overeenkomstig de goddelijke wil en jullie lopen niet het gevaar te verdwalen, want de Heer en Heiland komt jullie Zelf tegemoet en door Zijn hand geleid, bereiken jullie zeker het doel.
