Inventions.... forces of nature.... faith....

In the age of modern technology, the forces of nature will make a particularly noticeable appearance, as the aim is to prove to people that all earthly ability and knowledge is of no use if the will of God is not respected. The more a person is convinced of himself and his abilities, the more likely he is to deny divine power and his own dependence on it. And the more necessary it is then that the divine power expresses itself. The human being's development necessitates all kinds of facilities to which the divine creator gives His blessing if they arise for the benefit and piety of all humanity.... And all spirit, which is expressed in technical inventions, seeks to have a favourable effect on humanity in order to facilitate its striving for the heights, and thus to a certain extent places itself at the service of humanity. However, it is unexplored forces that provide support where man becomes arrogant. And it is precisely these forces that assert themselves in unforeseen natural disasters.... no matter what kind. Wherever man believes that he has found infallible proof that he can utilize some natural force and banish it by his own efforts, an unjustified natural force comes into play and renders previous experience invalid. Man is given the ability by God to utilize the power from God, but always in the same proportion as he relates himself to God. And that person who recognizes God Himself in all natural power will be able to show undreamt-of success.... who, as it were, tackles all work with God that is for the good of humanity and extends to inventions of all kinds. His research and attempts will be crowned with success, and the divine power will, as it were, overflow into such inventions, while the person who believes to draw from himself and is aware of his extraordinary power (will certainly also request the power from God and will not withhold it from him, but he) will to a certain extent take possession of it unlawfully because he presumes to exclude divinity and thus does not subordinate himself to the divine will.... A counter-current will soon make itself felt there. Obstacles upon obstacles will stand in the way of the person working without divine assistance and he will not be able to master them as he relies on himself and does not ask for help.... And these obstacles will again be due to forces of nature, because everything that acts contrary to divine order will, as it were, also have to bear the consequences of this. And thus, despite overcoming many technical difficulties, the human being will always be backward as long as he does not see in the reign of the natural elements proof that all forces in nature are subject to a lord and creator and that his endeavours will therefore only be successful when he himself likewise fits into the divine order and he is only willing to carry out what corresponds to God's will....

Invenções.... Forças da natureza.... Faith....

Na era da tecnologia moderna, as forças da natureza serão particularmente perceptíveis, pois é necessário provar às pessoas que toda habilidade e conhecimento terreno não tem utilidade se a vontade de Deus não for respeitada. Quanto mais uma pessoa estiver convencida de si mesma e de suas próprias habilidades, mais provável é que negue o poder divino e sua própria dependência dele. E então é ainda mais necessário que o poder divino se expresse. O desenvolvimento do ser humano necessita de muitos tipos de dispositivos para os quais o Criador divino dá a Sua bênção, se eles vierem a existir para o benefício e a piedade de toda a humanidade.... E todo espírito, que se expressa em invenções técnicas, procura ter um efeito favorável sobre a humanidade, a fim de facilitar o seu esforço de ascensão, e assim, em certa medida, coloca-se ao serviço da humanidade. Mas são as forças inexploradas que exigem uma paragem onde o homem se torna arrogante. E são precisamente estas forças que se fazem sentir em desastres naturais imprevistos de qualquer tipo.... de qualquer tipo. Onde quer que o homem acredite ter encontrado provas infalíveis de que pode fazer uso de alguma força da natureza e bani-la, e que pode fazê-lo com a sua própria força, uma força não calculada da natureza entra em jogo e torna inválida a experiência anterior. Ao ser humano é dada por Deus a capacidade de fazer uso do poder de Deus, mas sempre na mesma proporção em que ele se ajusta a Deus. E aquele que reconhece o próprio Deus com toda a sua força natural poderá mostrar um sucesso inimaginável.... que, por assim dizer, aborda com Deus todo o trabalho que se aplica ao benefício da humanidade e se estende a invenções de toda a espécie. Suas pesquisas e experiências serão coroadas de sucesso e a força divina, por assim dizer, transbordará em tais invenções, enquanto o ser humano, que acredita tirar de si mesmo e está consciente de sua extraordinária força, certamente também pedirá força a Deus e não a reterá dele, mas, por assim dizer, tomará posse ilegal dela, porque presume excluir a divindade e, portanto, não se submete à vontade divina..... Uma contra-corrente logo se fará sentir lá. Assim, obstáculos sobre obstáculos se colocarão no caminho de quem trabalha sem ajuda divina, e ele não os dominará porque confia em si mesmo e não pede ajuda.... E esses obstáculos, por sua vez, serão devidos a forças naturais, porque tudo o que vai contra a ordem divina também terá, por assim dizer, de suportar as conseqüências disso. E assim, apesar das múltiplas dificuldades técnicas superadas, o ser humano estará sempre atrasado, desde que não veja a regra dos elementos da natureza como prova de que todas as forças da natureza estão sujeitas a um Senhor e Criador e que, portanto, os seus esforços só serão bem sucedidos quando ele também se integrar na ordem divina e só estiver disposto a realizar o que corresponde à vontade de Deus....
