The souls of those who have left the valley of the earth without having established a connection with the heavenly father are in great distress. They know neither the end nor the beginning and torment themselves with self-reproach and bad thoughts. They rebel against their fate and do not want to admit to themselves that they themselves are to blame for this sad state. The more devotedly the soul resigns itself to its state of suffering, the more likely it is to be liberated from it, for the higher spiritual beings perceive the slightest good impulse and try to bring relief to the soul by giving it the necessary advice to improve its situation. And again, it is only up to the good will of the suffering soul to make use of these admonitions and hints.... However, where its own will is too strong, the efforts of these spiritual friends who are willing to love and help will also be in vain and the soul will fall back into its old oppressive state and will not be able to free itself from it for a long time, as it is still fighting against everything good and noble which it does not recognize as such in its stubbornness. Anyone who dwells in the darkest night will be able to roughly comprehend the fate of these poor.... fear and horror torment them, and their minds darken to the point of unbearability.... They seek light and cannot find it.... Proximity to the earth holds them fast, and they mainly stay where they stayed in earthly life.... For they first hope for help where those close to them dwell, for they are often still without realizing that they have long since left earth. They are only bitter that all their efforts are without success and that people do not pay attention to their need, and only after a long time do they realize the impossibility of their desire. And anyone who now derives the right benefit from this realization.... anyone who goes within himself and firmly resolves to do everything in order to be liberated from the unhappy state will also soon learn the ways and means through the instruction of the spiritual friends in the beyond or also by participating in the teachings offered from the beyond to earthly children who are faithful and of good will. Once the soul has discovered such a connection, it can no longer be removed from the vicinity of such earthly children.... It accepts all teachings with a real hunger and is now grateful for the advice it utilizes in every way. And so it is truly blessed hours for countless souls in the beyond when you devote yourself to your spiritual work.... For they suffer so unspeakably without your help and the path to the light is much more difficult for them to reach.... however, in a short time they can make up for infinitely much of what they neglected to do in earthly life through their own fault, and thus they become increasingly more knowledgeable and follow all admonitions most eagerly the more they realize that it is in their own hands to make their state bearable and later extremely happy. And thus they, too, are only ever anxious to make use of all instructions which are conveyed to you from the beyond, and their concern is likewise for your inner state of soul and your will, which can also bring them deliverance from their suffering and torment....

Muitas das almas endurecidas no além.... Ensinamentos de amigos espirituais.... Simpatia das almas com os escritos....

As almas daqueles que deixaram o vale da Terra sem ter estabelecido a ligação com o Pai celestial estão em apuros terríveis. Eles não conhecem a saída nem o caminho de entrada e se atormentam com auto-repreensão e maus pensamentos. Eles se rebelam contra seu destino e não querem admitir a si mesmos que são responsáveis por este triste estado. Quanto mais devotadamente a alma se submete ao seu estado de sofrimento, tanto mais cedo é a possibilidade de libertação dele, pois o mínimo bom impulso é percebido pelos seres espirituais superiores e estes procuram agora trazer alívio à alma, dando-lhe as indicações necessárias para melhorar a sua situação. E mais uma vez, só depende da boa vontade da alma sofredora fazer uso destas admoestações e indicações.... Contudo, onde a própria vontade da alma for demasiado forte, mesmo os esforços desses amigos espirituais amorosos e prestativos serão em vão, e a alma cairá de novo no seu velho estado opressivo e não poderá libertar-se dele por muito tempo, uma vez que ainda lutará contra tudo o que é bom e nobre que, na sua obstinação, não reconhece como tal. Qualquer um que ficar na noite mais escura poderá compreender mais ou menos o destino destas pobres pessoas. Eles são atormentados pelo medo e horror, e o seu humor escurece ao ponto de insuportável.... Eles procuram luz e não a encontram.... A proximidade com a terra os mantém e eles ficam principalmente onde ficaram na vida terrena.... Pois eles primeiro esperam por ajuda onde aqueles que lhes são próximos ficam, pois muitas vezes ainda não sabem que já deixaram a Terra há muito tempo. Eles só estão amargurados por todos os seus esforços serem sem sucesso e por as pessoas não prestarem atenção às suas necessidades, e só depois de muito tempo é que se apercebem da impossibilidade do seu desejo. E qualquer pessoa que agora deriva o benefício certo desta realização.... que vai dentro de si e faz a firme resolução de fazer tudo para se libertar do estado infeliz, também aprenderá logo os caminhos e meios através da instrução dos amigos espirituais no além ou também através da participação nos ensinamentos oferecidos do além às crianças terrenas que são devotas e de boa vontade. Uma vez que a alma tenha descoberto tal conexão, ela não pode mais ser removida da proximidade de tais crianças terrestres.... aceita todos os ensinamentos com verdadeira fome voraz e agora está grato pela dica que faz uso de todas as maneiras. E assim eles são horas verdadeiramente abençoadas para incontáveis almas no além, quando você se entrega ao seu trabalho espiritual.... Pois eles sofrem de forma indescritível sem a sua ajuda, e o caminho para a luz é muito mais difícil para eles conseguirem.... Mas assim podem compensar infinitamente em pouco tempo o que negligenciaram por culpa própria na vida terrena, e assim tornam-se cada vez mais conhecedores e seguem todas as admoestações com maior diligência, quanto mais se dão conta de que está nas suas próprias mãos tornar o seu estado suportável e mais tarde extremamente feliz. E assim também eles estão sempre preocupados em fazer uso de todas as instruções que vos são transmitidas do além, e a sua preocupação aplica-se igualmente ao vosso estado interior de alma e à vossa vontade, que também lhes pode trazer a salvação do seu sofrimento e tormento....
