The task of small creatures and humans.... earthly and spiritual activity....

You will draw an immeasurable blessing from your work, therefore continue steadfastly on this path and overcome all temptations of the evil one, for a child of God must be truly faithful and trusting if he wants to achieve great things. Today the lord will give you a gift that will give you strength. A pleading thought to your saviour will help you in every affliction, and so begin: An army of spiritual beings is tasked with creating the environment that makes your existence on earth possible again; consider this and then try to imagine how often the picture in nature changes.... How many things only exist for one day and then fall prey to destruction again.... how countless beings embody themselves differently again and again.... how grasses, flowers and fruits fulfil their purpose on earth and pass away.... in order to rise again to new life in a different form. This is a process that is repeated in the same way with humans, only over a much longer period of time. If the lord now sets these small beings and formations a task, either to please the eye of man or to serve nature, to support the development and to carry out all the small and smallest activities that are necessary in creation and that guarantee an everlasting existence.... it is already clear from this how much nobler and more comprehensive the human being's task on earth must be, how it should be fulfilled in the spirit of divine creation and serve the further perfection of every human being.... To utilize the short span of time, which encompasses even a long earthly life, in such a way that the actual purpose is fully complied with, is something that cannot be recommended to you seriously enough. In every situation in life the human being, from a purely earthly point of view, sees himself confronted with tasks which he should fulfil.... and he will also understand the necessity of these demands made of him; however, it does not seem so obvious to him that spiritual work is also incumbent upon him.... that he should fulfil it even more conscientiously and that the work assigned to him by God, his creator, should be precisely that which should occupy all his thinking and striving on earth.... This is not so tangible because it is purely spiritual, whereas the earthly task promises him material benefits.... Now earthly life goes its course without interruption.... whether the human being fulfils his assigned activity or not.... only for himself will the benefit be greater or lesser. In exactly the same way, a person's spiritual attitude will not be beneficial or detrimental to God's entire work of creation, but success or failure will only have an effect on his soul.... Physical well-being, which a person can increase or decrease with the task he fulfils on earth, is only a temporal concept; with bodily death everything that once served your well-being has become worthless and void.... But the soul cannot create an end to its situation at will.... It has to bear its state, whether completed or not, and it has to struggle unspeakably in suffering if it wants to improve its state, but it cannot end it arbitrarily if it does not suit it.... And therefore the human being should recognize how unspeakably important it is for him to live according to his actual purpose on earth and not strive for any other goal than to gather possessions for eternity....

Tarefa das pequenas criaturas e dos humanos.... Atividade terrestre e espiritual....

Tirarás bênçãos imensuráveis do teu trabalho, por isso continua firmemente neste caminho e vence todas as tentações do mal, pois um filho de Deus deve ser verdadeiramente fiel e confiante se quer alcançar grandes coisas. Assim, o Senhor vos dará hoje um presente que vos dará força. Um pensamento implorante ao teu Salvador vai ajudar-te em todas as angústias, e assim começa: Um exército de seres espirituais é encarregado de criar o ambiente que permite a tua existência na Terra novamente; tem isto em mente e depois tenta imaginar com que frequência a imagem na natureza muda.... Quanto existe por apenas um dia e depois já cai vítima da destruição novamente.... como inúmeros seres se encarnam de forma diferente novamente.... como gramíneas, flores e frutas cumprem seu propósito na terra e passam.... a fim de surgir novamente de uma forma diferente à nova vida. Este é um processo que se repete da mesma forma com os seres humanos, apenas durante um período de tempo muito mais longo. Se o Senhor agora dá a estes pequenos seres e estruturas uma tarefa, seja para agradar aos olhos do homem ou para servir a natureza, para apoiar o desenvolvimento e para realizar todas as pequenas e menores atividades que são necessárias na criação e que garantem uma existência perpétua.... por isso já é evidente o quanto mais nobre e abrangente deve ser a tarefa do ser humano na Terra, como deve ser cumprida no sentido da criação divina e servir à perfeição de cada ser humano.... Utilizar o curto espaço de tempo que uma vida terrena, mesmo longa, abrange de tal forma que o verdadeiro propósito seja plena e completamente cumprido, é algo que não pode ser exigido a você com seriedade suficiente. Em todas as situações da vida o ser humano, puramente terreno, vê-se a si próprio confrontado com tarefas que deve cumprir.... e também compreenderá a necessidade destas exigências que lhe são impostas; contudo, não lhe parece tão evidente que o trabalho espiritual lhe incumba também.... que ele o cumpra ainda mais conscienciosamente e que o trabalho que lhe é atribuído por Deus, seu Criador, seja precisamente o que deve ocupar todo o seu pensamento e esforço na Terra.... Isto não é tão tangível porque é apenas puramente espiritual, enquanto a tarefa terrena promete benefícios materiais para ele.... Agora a vida terrena continua sem interrupção.... se o ser humano cumpre ou não a actividade que lhe foi atribuída.... só para si mesmo é que o benefício será maior ou menor. Exatamente da mesma forma, a atitude espiritual do ser humano não ajudará ou impedirá a obra de Deus na criação como um todo, mas o sucesso ou fracasso só terá efeito na sua alma.... O bem-estar físico, que o ser humano pode aumentar ou diminuir com o cumprimento da sua tarefa na terra, é apenas um conceito temporal, com a morte corporal tudo se tornou inútil e vazio, que uma vez serviu ao seu bem-estar.... Mas a alma não pode criar um fim para a sua situação à vontade.... Tem de suportar o seu estado, seja ele completo ou não, e tem de lutar de forma indizível no sofrimento se quiser melhorar o seu estado, mas não pode acabar com ele arbitrariamente se não lhe convém.... E, portanto, o ser humano deve compreender como é indizível a importância de viver o seu verdadeiro propósito na Terra e de lutar por nenhum outro objectivo que não seja o de recolher bens para a eternidade....
