5794 Deification of created beings....
October 22, 1953: Book 63
Receive the message of the lord:
When I gave you life I pursued a purpose.... to manifest Myself in you, i.e., to give My strength and My light forms which were in contact with each other as beings and which all carried Me Myself as the strength of love within them.... so that I shaped Myself, as it were, in these beings, so that they were the same as I Myself, yet each standing in self-awareness.... that I therefore wanted to create gods like Myself.... Thus I created perfection from Myself, I multiplied Myself in these beings created by Me, since they were created in the same perfection and since nothing could arise from Me which was deficient. I Myself was represented in all these beings, I had called them into existence as a reflection of Myself, although I Myself was not visible to these beings. I created miniatures of Myself.... and enjoyed these creations....
Yet everything perfectly created was My work.... it was My will in it, it was permeated by My love and consequently only something created which could not be other than it was.... And this did not satisfy Me, for I wanted something equally free around Me which, like Myself, could move in all freedom.... I had to put it outside independently of Me in equal strength and light and put it to the test that it now utilized the complete freedom granted to it as it corresponded to My will.... without, however, determining its nature through My will.... I had to give it complete freedom of will and, as it were, isolate Myself from it.... so that the being could now prove its divinity and remain in the perfection in which I created it.... although it could also make wrong use of its strength and will.... I wanted to have gods beside Me with whom I could work and create in supreme bliss.... But I could not create these gods for Myself, I could only give them the ability to shape themselves into gods.... I wanted the same bliss that filled Me to also be granted to the beings I called into being in an immeasurable urge for happiness and shaping, which always increased the more I created.... (22.10.1953) I did not want them to remain eternally only My creatures, determined by My will in their actions and thoughts.... I wanted every being to create freely for itself, independent of My will, because I knew that a perfect being always carried My will within itself.... Thus a being which was perfectly created by Me would not have been capable of a will which opposed Me if it had not also had a free will at the same time which could determine itself. And this free will was the decisive factor. By virtue of free will the being could remain in its perfection given to it by Me but it could also depart from it.... the being, which I had shaped most perfectly, could reshape itself, forfeit its perfection and become a creature which was no longer in My image.... but it was a free being which could dispose of itself and also reshape itself again in My image.... It was able to become perfect again but then it was no longer My creature but My child.... My image which had become in free will, a divine being which stood outside of Me and yet was intimately fused with Me through the same love, the same will and the same nature.... It was not possible for Me to create something imperfect which was to achieve the transformation into My image, for only the most perfect can emerge from Me, yet the will of the created being itself must accomplish the transformation of the created into gods.... because free will irrevocably belongs to the highest perfection....
Since the principle of love is predominant in Me, since I Myself am eternal love, only love has ever been decisive in the act of creation, and love also pursues a aim.... a state of bliss for My creations which is unsurpassable, however, only when the creatures have become My children.... For My created works, despite all perfection, cannot be called blissfully happy indefinitely as long as they do not possess free will. Free will, however, must prove perfection.... that which is given to the being, it must value it and want to keep it, despite the possibility of giving it up.... And this decision has been demanded of the perfectly created by Me and will be demanded of it until the being has reached its aim, until it strives for perfection, for union with Me, of its own free will.... until it has become My image....
Amen
