1599 Fear of the beings on the other side for perseverance for this work....
September 5, 1940: Book 25
It is a blessed hour in which you place yourself at the Lord's disposal and ask for His grace. For every proclamation corresponds to God's will, provided you entrust yourself to Him in prayer. There are countless souls in need, and your work should bring them salvation. Yet the spirit, which guides (teaches?) you, leads these souls to you and watches over you so that evil forces do not weaken your will or prevent you from serving God.... For there is a mighty struggle for the still fickle souls. Everything good gives them strength, yet evil powers try to weaken this strength and, through all kinds of objections, to confuse the earthly child and make it insecure about its innermost feelings.
And the result of such activity is often a person who despairs of himself, who is undecided and wants to discard everything he previously firmly believed. And such states of weakness can only be overcome through heartfelt prayer, so that the good forces gain influence, and in turn impart strength and vigour to the person before the doubting state has taken hold of him. For countless beings in the beyond are anxious that you should not lose your perseverance. They see people's suffering, they see their own suffering, they also see how they can be helped and that a person's will is necessary for this, and now they fear that this person completely surrenders his will, and thus wants to become salvation for countless souls.... Amen
