"Ich bin das Brot des Lebens, das Manna, das vom Himmel kommt...."

Es genüge euch nicht, wenn ihr euch irdisch sättigt, wenn ihr dem Körper das Brot zuwendet, das ihr zum Leben benötigt, sondern begehret vielmehr das Brot des Himmels, das eurer Seele Nahrung ist.... Und glaubet es Mir, daß letzteres auch im Notfall den Körper zu erhalten vermag, niemals aber ersteres der Seele dienet zu ihrer Entwicklung zur Höhe.... Und darum habe Ich gesagt: "Ich bin das Brot des Lebens, das Manna, das vom Himmel kommt...." Denn wenn ihr Mich Selbst.... Mein Wort.... in euch aufnehmet, werdet ihr leben in Ewigkeit. Doch euer Körper wird vergehen, auch wenn ihr ihn ständig sättigt mit irdischer Speise. Ihm ist seine Zeit gegeben, und ist diese vorüber, so hilft auch keine irdische Ernährung mehr, um ihn am Leben zu erhalten. Darum solltet ihr mehr besorgt sein, eurer Seele das Leben zu schenken, ihr solltet sie unentwegt ernähren mit dem Brot des Himmels, ihr solltet ihr die Speise zugänglich machen, die ihr von Mir nur geboten werden kann. Und ihr solltet darum euch Mir Selbst nahen und Mich bitten um rechte Speise und rechten Trank. Und ihr solltet auch stets Meiner Worte gedenken: "Sorget nicht, was ihr essen und womit ihr euch bekleiden werdet, sondern suchet zuerst das Reich Gottes, alles andere wird euch zufallen...." Würden doch die Menschen glauben an diese Verheißung.... Doch all ihr Sinnen und Trachten ist nur rein irdisch ausgerichtet, und doch kann kein Mensch das Leben seines Körpers um eine Stunde verlängern, wenn Mein Wille es anders bestimmt hat. Aber auch kein Mensch kann seiner Seele das Leben geben, wenn er sie darben lässet, wenn sie ohne Speise und Trank gelassen wird um des Leibes willen. Aber da ihr Menschen es wisset, wie nötig der Körper Nahrung braucht, um bestehen zu können, so macht ihr euch schuldig, wenn ihr nicht gleichfalls eure Seele versorget, die nicht vergehen kann; ihr machet euch darum schuldig, weil Ich immer wieder an euch herantrete und euch die Nahrung für eure Seele darreiche.... weil ihr immer wieder angesprochen werdet von Meinen Sendboten und nur sie anzuhören und ihren Worten Folge zu leisten brauchet, um nun auch schon Mir die Möglichkeit zu geben, euch geistig speisen und tränken zu können zum Heil eurer Seele. Immer wieder wird euch Mein Wort nahegebracht, immer wieder werdet ihr aufgefordert, euch mit Mir in Verbindung zu setzen, ihr werdet zum Gastmahl eingeladen, und ihr könnet jederzeit an Meinen Tisch treten und also von Mir für eure Seele Nahrung entgegennehmen.... Denn Mein Wort ist das Himmelsbrot, es ist das lebendige Wasser, Mein Wort ist Fleisch und Blut.... Mein Wort allein ist eurer Seele rechte Speise, die ihr zum Leben verhilft, das sie ewig nicht mehr verlieren wird.... Und weil ihr so wenig eurer Seele Bedürfnisse stillet, werdet ihr auch körperlich Not erleiden müssen, es wird die Zeit kommen, wo euch auch mangeln wird, was ihr für euer irdisches Leben benötigt, wenn euch nicht Mein Gegner so reichlich versorgt, daß ihr eurer Seele vergesset.... Sowie ihr aber noch nicht gänzlich ihm verfallen seid, kann irdisch-fühlbare Not euch doch dazu veranlassen, euch an Mich zu wenden und Mich um Aufhebung dieser zu bitten, und dann kann auch gleichzeitig eure Seele gespeist werden, weil jegliche Bindung mit Mir der Seele Kraft einträgt, also geistige Speisung bedeutet. Das Brot des Himmels ist unerläßlich, und wenn Ich Selbst Mich bezeichnet habe als "Brot des Lebens", so könnet ihr auch daraus ersehen, daß ihr euch Mir Selbst nahen müsset, daß Ich Selbst Mich euch schenken will, weil Ich eurer Seele das Leben geben möchte.... Und ihr brauchet wahrlich nicht weit zu gehen, um bei Mir zu sein, ihr brauchet nur in die Stille zu gehen und eure Gedanken Mir zuzuwenden, und ihr zieht Mich Selbst dann zu euch, ihr veranlaßt Mich, euch Meine Gaben anzubieten, eurer Seele Speise und Trank darzureichen, denn sowie ihr euch gedanklich mit Mir verbindet in stillem Gebet, öffnet ihr Mir auch euer Herz, daß Ich Selbst eintreten kann, und dann werdet ihr wahrlich nicht mehr zu darben brauchen. Und Ich werde euch nicht nur geistig, sondern auch irdisch ernähren, denn diese Verheißung habe Ich euch gegeben, und Ich stehe zu Meinem Wort: "Suchet zuerst das Reich Gottes und seine Gerechtigkeit, alles andere wird euch hinzugegeben werden...."

'I Am the bread of life, the manna which comes down from Heaven....'

Don't be satisfied by merely feeding yourselves in an earthly way, by providing the body with the bread you require in order to live, rather desire the bread of heaven instead, which is nourishment for your soul.... And believe Me, in an emergency the latter will also be able to maintain the body, but the former will never serve the soul in its higher development.... This is why I have said 'I Am the bread of life, the manna which comes down from Heaven....' For if you digest Me Myself.... My Word.... you will live in eternity. Yet your body will cease to exist even if you constantly feed it with earthly food. It is given its time, and when this is over no earthly nourishment will help in order to keep it alive. For this reason you should be more concerned with bestowing life to your soul, you should incessantly feed it with the bread of Heaven, you should make the nourishment available to it, which can only be offered to it from Me. Therefore, you should approach Me directly and appeal to Me for true nourishment and true refreshment. And always remember My Words 'Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat or what shall we drink....but seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you....' If only people believed this promise.... However, all their thoughts and intentions are purely earthly-inclined and yet, no person can extend his body's life for even an hour if My will has decided otherwise. But neither can a person give life to his soul if he lets it go hungry, if it remains without food and drink for the sake of the body. But since you humans know that the body needs food in order to live, you become guilty if you don't provide for the soul as well, which cannot cease to exist; you become guilty because I approach you time and again offering food for your soul.... because you are repeatedly addressed by My messengers and need only listen to them and live up to their words in order to provide Me with the opportunity to nourish and refresh you spiritually for the benefit of your soul. Time and again My Word is made accessible to you, time and again you are requested to enter into contact with Me, you are invited to a feast and can come to My table at any time and thus accept nourishment from Me for your soul.... For My Word is the heavenly bread, it is the living water, My Word is flesh and blood.... Only My Word is the right food for your soul which will help it attain the life it will never lose again.... And because you so scarcely satisfy your soul's needs, you will also have to suffer physical adversity, the time will come when you, too, will lack in that which you require for your earthly life, if My adversary does not provide enough for you that you will forget about your soul.... But if you have not utterly fallen prey to him as yet, the tangible earthly adversity could still prompt you to turn to Me and appeal to Me to revoke the latter, and then your soul can be nourished at the same time, because every bond with Me will provide strength for the soul, which will thus signify being spiritually fed. The bread of Heaven is indispensable, and from the fact that I described Myself as the 'bread of life' it is evident that you must come close to Me Myself, that I want to give Myself away, because I would like to give life to your soul.... And you truly need not walk far in order to be with Me, you need only enter into silence and turn your thoughts to Me, then you will draw Me to yourselves, you oblige Me to offer you My gifts, to offer you nourishment and refreshment, for as soon as you make mental contact with Me during silent prayer you will also open your heart, so that I Myself can enter, and then you will truly not need to go hungry anymore. And I will not only nourish you spiritually but also in an earthly way, for this is the promise I made and I will keep My Word 'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you....'
